But just about the time that Donald Trump was elected that graphic disappeared. Then all content the for DASH disappeared as did Kathleen Ethier its former Director. Why? Because President Trump vowed during his campaign that he would end DEI promotion by the federal government and on the day that he was inaugurated he did precisely that.

It took a week before CDC got around to figuring out how to comply with the president's order but eventually the behemoth “public health” agency complied and DASH was gone. No more direct links to LGBTQ+ chat rooms accessible to children without parental knowledge or consent and no more links to the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network, (GLSEN), the source of the “Rainbow Library” that was free to schools across the nation and the source of outrage by parents everywhere.

But then along came Doctors for America with its Mission Statement complete with a set of guiding principles:

“Doctors for America mobilizes doctors and medical students to be leaders in putting patients over politics on the pressing issues of the day to improve the health of our patients, communities, and nation. (emphasis added)

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We believe:

1. Every person in America has a fundamental right to equitable, high-quality, and affordable health care.

2. Everyone should have the opportunity to lead a healthy life.

3. Every part of society should value and promote healthy families and communities.

4. Doctors should take a leadership role in improving health care and ending health disparities.” (emphasis added, again)

Based on their Mission Statement and Guiding Principles the Doctors of America sued:

The Office Of Personnel Management, the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention, the Food And Drug Administration, and the Department Of Health & Human Services.

But for some reason they didn’t sue the President of the United States who ordered those agencies to remove all DEI content from the OPM, CDC, FDA, and DHHS web sites. Perhaps one of you can explain to me why the agencies under the executive control of the President of the United States were held liable for the content or lack thereof of their website and not the President who issued the Executive Order which directed them to do so. That is actually a bit of a rhetorical musing. As I explain below. Had they sued the President it is likely that Judge John Bates wouldn’t have been able to find a way to keep this suit alive.

And so as result of the DFA suit United States District Judge John D. Bates ordered that the DEI content of the websites of the agencies listed above must be restored and it has been — sort of. Instead of the gender confusing graphic heading the CDC page this now appears:

The government in my view responded oddly. The first argument that the government lawyers put forth was that DFA didn’t have standing. But the judge in this matter disagreed stating that if one member of the organization was “harmed” then the organization itself was harmed. Whatever.

The issue of standing raised by the defendants aside there are two other points at issue. First, the websites as they were pre-Trump’s Executive Order provided valuable information that doctors rely on to treat children. Second, by removing the content with out a public hearing the agencies in question violated the Office of Management Budget’s Administrative Procedures Act (APA). The purpose of the APA is to ensure that the People have a say in any administrative rule made by an administrative agency.

First things being first, the notion that the CDC website provided valuable information that Doctors rely on every day is deeply flawed simply because false information (i.e. that more than two genders exist) is inherently not valuable or useful. As I have noted before CDC admitted that they have no data supporting the idea that there are more than two genders. That admission in and of itself refutes the claim that the CDC website offers “valuable” information on LGBTQ+ ideology.

On to second things. The Administrative Procedures Act is intended to rein in unrestrained rulemaking ability wielded by ADMINISTRATIVE agencies that have been authorized by Congress to make administrative rules in place of Congressional law making. Neither CDC or the other administrative agencies named in the DFA suit decided on their own to remove the DEI content on their websites. The content in question was removed by order of the President of the United States, the head of the Executive Branch. Further, the content that was removed was not a “rule”. CDC has very limited ability to issue administrative rules. Changing content on a website does not require administrative rule making. The content of the CDC website constantly changes. Agencies are free to add and delete content at will or upon order of the President of the United States.

As a bonus to the President this law suit allowed him to state his case clearly at the top of the page:

“Any information on this page promoting gender ideology is extremely inaccurate and disconnected from the immutable biological reality that there are two sexes, male and female.”

This ruling will not prevail on appeal.

Two days ago I published: JANUARY 20, 2025; CDC Has Yet To Figure Things Out. Late (for those of us who are not Donald Trump) on that same day the President issued this Executive Order:

“ENDING RADICAL AND WASTEFUL GOVERNMENT DEI PROGRAMS

AND

PREFERENCING

EXECUTIVE ORDER

January 20, 2025”

Last night at the direction of the President, the Office of Personnel Management issued this memorandum:

TO: Heads and Acting Heads of Departments and Agencies

DATE: January 21, 2025

RE: Initial Guidance Regarding DEIA Executive Orders

Pursuant to its authority under 5 U.S.C. § 1103(a)(1) and (a)(5), the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (“OPM”) is providing the following initial guidance to agencies regarding the President’s executive orders titled Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions, which repeals Executive Order 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce.

Steps to Close Agency DEIA Offices: In light of the above Executive Orders, each should take prompt actions regarding the offices and agency sub-units focusing exclusively on DEIA initiatives and programs (the “DEIA offices”). Specifically, agency heads should take the following steps:

1. No later than 5:00 pm EST on Wednesday, January 22, 2025

a. Send an agency-wide notice to employees informing them of the closure and asking employees if they know of any efforts to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language a template agency-wide notice is attached as Appendix 1.

b. Send a notification to all employees of DEIA offices that they are being placed on paid administrative leave effective immediately as the agency takes steps to close/end all DEIA initiatives, offices and programs.1 A template employee letter is attached as Appendix 2.

c. Take down all outward facing media (websites, social media accounts, etc.) of DEIA offices.

d. Withdraw any final or pending documents, directives, orders, materials, and equity plans issued by the agency in response to now-repealed Executive Order 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) in the Federal Workforce (June 25, 2021).

e. Cancel any DEIA-related trainings, and terminate any DEIA-related contractors.

The question for CDC is this: Where will you begin?

It is good a question for those who will be tasked with removing DEI from CDC because CDC doesn’t have a singular DEI office where one can walk through a door for an appointment with the non-existent Director of DEI. Instead CDC has scattered the functional components throughout the agency.

Functionally it means that 44 year old Mandy Krauthamer Cohen, MD, Director, CDC who is being replaced is/was in charge of CDC’s DEI program — the buck stops there. Though Dr. Cohen is being replaced, Dr. Cohen’s minions are not and she had lots and lots of minions who are all well hidden inside 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia.

So who is next in line who does incoming Director Weldon turn to? Good question. Best available answer? A whole lot of people in all kinds of positions with the cover of plausible deniability. In short CDC has immunized itself with the Nuremberg Defense: ‘We were just following orders.’

Nevertheless we can get at those who have been essential in turning the nation’s public health into a three ring circus of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion none of it based on science and all of it based on “feelings”. Let’s start by asking CDC about DEI. This a grab of their search window on the CDC.gov home page where I simply entered "dei”.

The very first result is a paper by the Editor In-Chief of the in-house journal, Preventing Chronic Disease and it is instructing investigators how to incorporate DEI into their manuscripts. The article, “…7 ways to include diversity, equity, and inclusion….” was written by Leonard Jack, Jr, PhD, MSc, Editor in Chief, Preventing Chronic Disease: Public Health Research, Practice, and Policy, Office of Medicine and Science, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This single article by Dr. Jack solidifies his substantial role in promoting DEI at CDC.

So far that’s just two people, CDC Director Cohen and Leonard Jack, Editor in chief of Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD): Public Health Research. As Editor in Chief Leonard Jack decides what article’s will published in PCD.

CDC also has and Office of Health Equity (OHE) and according to Grok ( X’s AI utility) OHE is responsible for “…ensuring that health services and policies are equitable, which inherently involves DEI principles. The OHE collaborates across different CDC centers to integrate health equity into public health practice and policy.” Leandris Liburd, PhD, MPH, MA, is the Acting Director for CDC’s Office of Health Equity (OHE).

I encourage you to take a quick tour of the Office of Health Equity where you can learn about health disparities caused by a host of “social determinants”. Clearly Leandris Liburd should be on OPM’s paid administrative leave list.

While “health equity” is a fascinating topic I want to get to what I believe is the most egregious expression of DEI at CDC; LGBTQ public health issues and children. Return to the CDC homepage, enter LGBTQ into the search window and the VERY first thing that pops up is this:

Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth

AT A GLANCE

Youth with LGBTQ+ identities include those with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning identities. They are more likely than cisgender and heterosexual youth to experience violence at school and have lower levels of school connectedness.

Several practices can improve the health, safety, and school connectedness for LGBTQ+ youth. Among them are conducting professional development with school staff, providing inclusive school programs, and developing inclusive school and district policies.

According to CDC, Dr. Ethier earned her PhD in social psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. WebMD defines social psychology as “…the study of your mind and behavior with other people. Social psychology looks at your personality, interpersonal relationships, and group behavior.”

Wikipedia offers this definition: Social psychology is the scientific study of how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others.

Clearly Dr. Ethier and her immediate staff and perhaps her entire Division should be subject to OPM’s Administrative Leave Order.

All of this, every word I have written this morning barely scratches the surface of the anthill of DEI at CDC. It would make perfect sense to place the entire agency on Administrative leave until it can all be sorted out and unwound.

I really don’t want to single out Dr. Etheir by showing only her photo so here are the others.

I do not know these people other than what I have read which is this: they are all extraordinarily bright and ambitious people who are part of the upper echelon of The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and they all apparently believe that promoting transgenderism in schools is just fine by them. I know this because they are among the group who led the charge.

I don’t know anything about those people but I do know this. The man pictured above, Dr. Dave Weldon, is going to need a lot of help and he can’t rely on any of the people I have just written about OR their staff or any other person at CDC who was just following orders.

I suggest that Dr. Weldon create a temporary office of DEI Removal and staff with seasoned public health policy and IT staff with the mission of scrubbing DEI from all aspects of CDC. This may cause publications to be edited or even retracted. It is a job for serious people with a righteous sense of purpose.

President Trump’s Executive Order just gets the ball on the court. This is going to be a tough fight and he needs men and women who are tough enough to see it to victory.

Before I continue I have a test for you. One question. Just one. It’s a simple test.

WHO is the current Surgeon General of the United States?

No Cheating. No google. No DuckDuckGo. No Safari or any other browser. AND NO PEEKING!

Don’t know do you? Nobody knows but I do. Its this guy:

Vivek Murthy, M.D.

Here is what you need to know about this guy. He’s smart. He has BA in biochemistry from Harvard and an M.D. from Yale. AND he has been a Soros trained political activist his entire adult life. He obtained his M.D. in 2003 and apparently spent some time in an internship and residency, at Bringham and Women’s Hospital AND Harvard Medical School. Following all that training Murthy began founding organizations that suited his need for political activism. It appears that following his stellar academic career and high powered residency, Murthy hasn’t seen a single patient nor did he have one bit of public health experience before he led an Obama established Advisory Committee within the Department of Health and Human Services. How he was chosen at such a young age to do that most likely has more to do with his Soros training than his medical training. The next year he was made Surgeon General of the United States. He also served under Donald Trump for a little more than one year and as soon as Biden was installed he was reappointed.

For the record; I personally spoke to Mitch McConnell about how unsuitable Murthy would be as SG. McConnell’s response? “Dead in the water.” Two months later Murthy was confirmed.

Thanks Mitch for revealing what you really are — again.

The point of all of this is that during all his time as Surgeon General of the United States, Murthy was not the author of one single policy. He issued a few reports on this and that but not one single policy. All of that, all of the policy stuff, came from this GUY:

And HE, Levine, got his marching orders from this Guy, Xavier Becerra, not a doctor, who reports to Joe Biden or whomever is running the place.

In just about two months everyone of these people (except Nesheiwat) will be gone, unemployed, out office, not available for creating more havoc, destroying the health of Americans, OR convincing little boys that they might really be little girls and little girls that they might really be little boys. The evil will be gone.

Here is the bottom line. In just about two months, give or take a continuing temper tantrum by the forces of “Non-sense In Office” These people will be gone Robert Kennedy Jr. will be the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and HE will appoint RICHARD Levine’s replacement and they based on what President Trump will tell them, they will tell Dr. Nesheiwat what they would like her to do. They will tell her where to appear and when to appear and more importantly what they want her to say when she appears. They will also tell her what reports that they want her to issue and what those reports should say.

The Office of the Surgeon General of the United States is largely ceremonial and so the opinion that Nesheiwat once held concerning the vaccine and masks is absolutely irrelevant. The real importance of Nesheiwat is that she has TV experience as an on air personality at Fox and, therefore, she will be an effective “communicator” of what RFK Jr. wants the public to know.

Chill out and buckle up; its going to be a bumpy ride but well worth it.

The United States Public Health Service has a long and storied history.

That should be all that anyone needs to say about the US PHS but unfortunately it’s not. Here is a VERY brief history of the PHS.

The PHS originated from the Marine Health Service in 1798. In 1798 this newly formed nation relied on the services of the merchant marine for trade and it was recognized that those mariners as well as those engaged in protecting the Nation needed a readily available source of health care. That health care was provide by a system of hospitals on coastal and inland navigable waters. In 1871 that system officially became the Marine Health Service and in 1912 the US Public Health Service. At 226 years of age the PHS is one of the oldest, continuously operating government entities in our history. And now, 226 after its formation the US PHS, is comprised of 10 Offices and 10 agencies and is filling roles never imagined in 1798. All of those agencies and Offices, each with a different mission (mostly), are led by the Assistant Secretary of Health (ASH) in the Department of Health and Human Services. Of the 24 ASH’s since 1965, 11 have been Commissioned Officers of the US PHS including the current ASH, Dr. Richard Levine, ADM US PHS. Admiral Levine calls himself Rachel and dresses in either the uniform of a female Officer or in women’s civilian clothing.

In addition to a substantial number of civilian employees, the US Public Health Service is home to the 6,500 Officers of the Commissioned Corps of the US PHS, an unarmed uniformed service whose members hold the same rank, receive the same benefits, and pay as any other officer in the armed forces. More importantly, those officers are subject to deployment at the direction of the Assistant Secretary of Health. The Assistant Secretary of Health is also the reporting authority for the largely symbolic Surgeon General of the United States.

In brief, the US PHS has grown from an agency concerned primarily with the health and well being of the Merchant Marine and a rapidly growing number of immigrants legally entering the country to a collection of agencies ands offices that include activities driven by the ideological aspirations of a president or veto proof Congress and their corporate and private benefactors.

An agency that was once touted for protecting the health of our merchant mariners whom the nation depended was also tasked with conquering malaria, small pox, tuberculosis, HIV/AID’s, work related diseases, toxicity, and injuries has evolved into an agency staffed by medical professionals that apparently are happy with the fact that the person to whom they ultimately report is a Physician, Richard Levine, who calls himself Rachel and dresses in the uniform of a female officer of the Commissioned Corps of the US PHS. And while they tout their deployability they are quite content to stay in the comfort of their offices and homes.

By now you should be wondering why the history lesson and why is it important to understand that the ASH is a man who believes that he is a woman? Two questions; one answer. It shows us how far away from a fully functional mission of providing for the Nation’s health we have come. When CDC has a page on its website called “Resources for LGBTQ Youth” and uses the graphic below to introduce it and acknowledges the aberrant science of gender affirming care (also see here) or when its former Director, Rochelle Walensky has no problem breaking the law to exert authority over the Nations response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus it has clearly become an agency begging to be returned to its basic functions described in its enabling legislation.

The same can be said for NIH which through its Director Francis Collins and its Director of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, illegally funneled money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to produce the enhanced SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Then, of course, there is the FDA which gets about 46% of its funding from the pharmaceutical industry that it regulates and operates in cahoots with, collusion with, partnership with or, most likely, conspires with CDC.

Subject change

1. Yesterday the Los Angeles City Council voted to make L.A. a “sanctuary city” where illegal immigrants can be safe from the reach of the ‘evil’ President-elect Trump. At the moment it is estimated that there are about 1,000,000 illegal immigrants in LA. More are surely to flock to L.A. now that Trump has made it clear that deportation of illegal immigrants is Priority One of his first day in Office. The healthcare crisis in L.A. alone will be monumental. I cannot imagine the health care needs of more than 1,000,000 immigrants who have no home, no money, no food, and who do not speak English.

2. In “THE CERTIFICATE OF NEED (CON); A WEB OF DECEIT” I noted that the Affordable Care Act is forcing the closure of up to 800 hundred rural hospitals in the United States. When those hospitals close Americans in rural areas will have to travel 30 miles or more for hospital care.

3. Native Americans on reservations are lacking in quality health care: “Many treaties that ceded tribal lands to the U.S. required high-quality health services in return. That’s why the Indian Health Service was established. But the Indian health system remains grossly under-resourced and underfunded. IHS hospitals are four decades old on average, compared with the national average of 10.6 years….

   While there are a number of Commissioned Officers assigned to the Indian Health Service, it is a clearly an insufficient number.

The Dots Connected. Problems Solved. The Restructuring of 20 Public health Agencies and 10 Offices Begins.

Clearly, the anticipated influx of illegal migrants coupled with the closure of 800 or more rural hospitals, and the understaffing of the Indian Health Service is creating a public healthy emergency. What better way to meet that emergency than to tap the assets of the the ASH’s 6,5000 public health professionals and deploy them as needed to L.A., rural America, and Indian reservations. And about Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina — I tried to find something on the PHS website that bragged about deployment to those storm ravaged areas but found nothing. Why?

This proposal is just a start and it can happen quickly upon the order of the Assistant Secretary for Health. One of two things will happen; either healthcare to the underserved will be bolstered OR those Officers not willing to be deployed will either voluntarily or involuntarily be separated from the PHS. This will also send a strong message to the 20 administrative components under the supervision of the Asst. Sec. for Health that he or she is serious about reorganization.

Here is the message that underlies this policy proposal.

We have lost our way as a nation partly because of greed for money and power and partly in pursuit of the false ideology that we are each our own god. Morality has become situational. Law breaking has become consequence free. Our government agencies have taken on lives of their own, venturing into areas never envisioned, anticipated or desired. Interagency jealousy has led to raging multiplicity of function.

Returning the US Public Health Service to its original purpose is just an example of how to begin solving the problem and perhaps beginning with that spark a fire will be lit that drives the rest of the effort to truly reform a government that wars against the public it serves.

The first thing I read every morning is the Mercola report which is often the source for inspiration for this Newsletter. Today Dr. Mercola writes about conflict of interest at the NIH. In Righting the Ship: Part I I addressed the conflict of interest at the FDA in Part II I explored conflicts of interest at the CDC with a particular nod of the head to the CDC Foundation. In today’s Mercola e-mail there is a piece called: Massive Conflicts of Interest in the NIH in which he documents the tens of millions of dollars donated to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) given over a 20 year period by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Mercola noted that the Gates Foundation is responsible for 15% of the FNIH budget. But that is only the very tip of the conflict of interest iceberg that the FNIH creates for the NIH.

In its 2020 Statutory Report the FNIH tells us that over the past 20 years the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has been donating more than ten million dollars each year. But what Mercola doesn’t point out is that right behind the Gates Foundation on the donor list are the following companies which have donated between five and ten million dollars each year:

Just as the CDC Foundation supports research not included in their Congressionally approved budget the FNIH is supported in part by taxpayer provided NIH dollars. In Fact, over a 24 year period that the NIH has been donating to it the FNIH has somewhere between $60,000,000 and $119,999,976 of taxpayer money.

Why?

To support research not approved by Congress and controlled by a Board of Directors replete with executives of pharmaceutical companies, foundations, and schools of public health.

A Final Word

On March 1, 2022 Julie Gerberding, MD became the CEO of the FNIH. Gerberding, a former CDC Director is most remembered for a study on obesity in 2003. In describing the CDC findings of that study, Gerberding offered these comments:

“There’s a pandemic of obesity we are experiencing in this country,” said Gerberding. “If you looked at any epidemic — whether it’s influenza or plague from the Middle Ages — they are not as serious as the epidemic of obesity in terms of the health impact on our country and our society.”

There was just one problem; the study was found to be deeply flawed and presented a grossly over-estimated number of obese Americans. Rather than retracting the study with an apology the Gerberding CDC offered an excuse blaming math errors and miscommunications. A time line of this debacle is well worth the read.

There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that our public health agencies are deeply compromised with deeply conflicted financial interests from the very companies that they oversee and regulate. In addition, they have been and continue to be headed by individuals of dubious ethical motivation and lacking in righteousness.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a long and storied global history of public health but as it has grown in size and mission it has become a master at the art of deception in order to fulfill a political agenda that has remained constant despite the politics and policies of the White House occupant. Nothing has made this clearer than the role of the CDC during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. And, as is the case with every government agency regardless of level, it has grown far beyond its original mission of controlling malaria.

In some cases the expansion of mission is a reasonable outcome of knowledge. In other words, if CDC understands disease vectors then why should it restrict its activity to just a single disease? The logic behind that is unassailable. But what happens when the tail wags the dog?

An Extraordinarily Brief History of the CDC

In 1798 Congress created the United States Public Health Service (PHS) the mission of which was to provide health care to the nation’s merchant mariners. As the United States shifted from a marine based economy to a balanced economy the functions of the PHS expanded and it acquired responsibility for screening immigrants, providing healthcare on Indian reservations, and to inmates in the custody of the US Bureau of Prisons. In 1942 the PHS acquired funding for Malaria Control in War Areas (MCWA). The MCWA was headquartered in Atlanta, GA.

A final important PHS function came as the result of the passage of the 1970 Occupational Safety and Health Act which created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) within the Depart of Labor (DOL) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) within the the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and as I will explain it was, unfortunately placed in the direct chain of command of the Director of CDC.

Expansion of the CDC Pubic Health Footprint.

The fact that Malaria was not restricted to areas outside the US gave MCWA authority over Malaria control not only in active theaters of war but in any state in which Malaria might be endemic and in any location in which someone with malaria might live. In 1944 the Public Health Service Act was revised and CDC gained investigative and quarantine authority over many other infectious diseases being brought into the country and being spread as a result of immigration and interstate commerce. Soon, its authority expanded to include any infectious disease in the United States. In 1947, CDC’s headquarters was permanently established in Atlanta.

Speaking Loudly AND Carrying a Big Stick

CDC is a chauvinistic agency that has little tolerance for competition, real or perceived. That chauvinism was never more on display than when NIOSH, an agency created in 1970 with independent authority derived from the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is part of the Centers for Disease Control. NIOSH has been a thorn in the side of CDC since its creation largely because NIOSH’s legislative authority includes making recommendations to OSHA for workplace exposure to biological hazards but CDC is not part of that process.

The first time the tension between the agencies on the matter of biological workplace exposures became apparent was during the beginnings of the HIV/AIDS outbreak. While NIOSH had a legislative responsibility to protect any worker with potential exposure to HIV, a blood borne pathogen, CDC had none. This manifested in CDC’s suppression of this simple statement: “HIV can be found in every body fluid.” which appeared in a draft chapter of the NIOSH publication “Guidelines for Protecting the Health and Safety of Healthcare Workers” . That chapter was sent to The CDC’s Center for Infectious Diseases for review. After the “debate” Chapter 4 of the document was directed by CDC to be as follows:

That was it. I know this history because I was the author of that NIOSH document. The statement that CDC objected to was taken directly from CDC’s MMWR article referenced in Chapter 4 but for some reason CDC didn’t want that one fact to be so clearly presented.

I’ve told this story simply to show you that what has happened since and what we are witnessing today is not out of character for the CDC.

There’s more.

In 2001, following the 9-11 attack, CDC argued that they should have their own Emergency Operations Center (EOC) apart from that of DHHS. That call later found a friendly ear in Barack Obama during the 2009 “Swine Flu Pandemic”. Obama was busily looking for any way to prove that the federal government should be in charge of the Nation’s healthcare. CDC was a natural ally. Obama ended up with Obamacare and CDC with its very EOC in Atlanta.

In 2001 the Nation was also subjected to the Anthrax attacks; CDC had the health response lead. As a result of those attacks five people died. For two of those no origin of the disease could be found. The implication being that they were exposed to a very small number of Anthrax spores. When it became apparent that the attacks had ended CDC held an “after action” meeting of all of us who participated in the response. The meeting became a “bit contentious” when CDC attempted to ignore important mortality data from the two cases that they couldn’t explain and which ruined their narrative that huge exposures to the bacteria’s spores were needed to cause a fatal case of Anthrax.

In 2004 CDC published a study that asserted that obesity was responsible for 400,000 deaths a year. A subsequent study by CDC and the National Institutes for Health (NIH) published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) in 2005 showed that the original CDC report was deeply flawed and that only 112,000 annual deaths could be attributed to obesity. CDC admitted only to “mathematical errors” in its original study. CDC despite calls to do so never, retracted their original report.

There have been other events in the recent history of CDC which should lead one to question whether CDC is more concerned with its stature, power, and a host of social justice issues or the health of a nation that relies on them for honest and object information. With attempts to influence gun ownership and weave social “diversity” concepts into public health issues, and the agency’s record with respect to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, the answer to that question should be clear.

Most recently CDC under the guise of tracking SARS-CoV-2 in 2020 launched the National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) to track SARS-CoV-2 virus levels in wastewater. The alleged purpose of this project is to better track the spread of the respiratory illness COVID-19. That project now has monitoring 650 sites around the nation where it collects samples of waste water to search for mRNA from SARS-CoV-2. CDC argues that his will give them greater insight into the extent of the SARS-CoV-2 infection in symptomatic and asymptomatic populations. How they will be able to discriminate between the symptomatic and asymptomatic mRNA is a mystery greater than any ever contemplated.

Clearly, CDC continues to lobby Congress to expand its authority and in the process has been deceiving the nation for decades and wasting our money.

Feeding the CDC Octopus

In 1983 Congress authorized CDC to accept “external gifts” from private sources including: individuals, foundations, universities, and, of course, corporations. In 1992 Congress formalized this gift horse by creating The CDC Foundation (The Foundation) …a quasi-governmental component of the CDC. According to The Foundation, it has raised more than $1.2 B over the last two decades. What does CDC do with that money? They fund and operate “programs” around the world; programs other than those funded by Congress.

Clearly CDC through its foundation, has been in bed with big pharma and many left wing organizations for decades. The Foundation’s FY 2021 financial report (October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021) provides insight into dozens of programs funded by organizations including:

This is only a partial list of the Foundation’s donors. Unfortunately, we are no longer surprised at the financial prostitution of our public health agencies by big pharma and governmental entities outside of the United States. But if there any donors to The Foundation that should cause grave concern it is NIH and CDC itself.

Both NIH and CDC are taking tax payer dollars appropriated by Congress for specific program areas, payroll, benefits, operating expenses and discretionary spending and giving a portion to The Foundation to support projects not contained in the CDC budget request. In short, NIH and CDC appear to be “laundering money” to support projects that Congress hasn’t or won’t.

In Part I of Righting the Ship, I showed how the FDA is nothing more than a component of big pharma. CDC is rapidly heading in that direction if it is not already there.

In Following the Science Part I, I laid out how Rochelle Walensky, Director, CDC obfuscated the true nature of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic by taking actions that inflated the case numbers and the mortality rate associated with COVID-19. Not only did she take unilateral and quite possibly, illegal actions to inflate the risk of morbidity and mortality she also altered the definition of a vaccine so that it is no longer solely an agent that prevents the spread of a biological infection. Further, when it became apparent that the “vaccine” was not performing as asserted it would she changed the definition of “fully vaccinated” several times and now has pivoted to describing people not as “fully vaccinated” but rather as being “up to date” with their vaccinations. That simple change allows CDC to support a constant need for being inoculated against each and every variant of SARS-CoV-2 and any other virus for which a vaccine is developed. The phrase “up to date” simply means that the money supply will never end.

Walensky even went as far as ignoring the recommendation from the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) which voted 9-6 to not expand the CDC vaccination program to include workers between the ages of 19-49; a group for which little risk of serve illness or death was shown.

Why did Walensky take this unprecedented action? She ignored ACIP for simple fact that it now put CDC in-line with the White House, FDA, and of course their common benefactors; Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and the rest of America’s pharmaceutical industry.

Further, Walensky has failed to analyze the reports of Adverse Vaccine Events in the FDA/CDC Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System and she has taken the position along with FDA that common drugs known globally and supported by a wealth of peer reviewed literature to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and to stop COVID-19 from causing hospitalization and death are actually dangerous and/or ineffective.

How Do We Fix It?

Again we ignore the pharmaceutical industry and Bill Gates and Bloomberg and all the universities that have monetarily aligned themselves with the CDC and go straight to CDC for the “Fix”:

• Terminate the CDC foundation and all of its projects. If The Foundation’s current benefactors want to make donations to good causes; the US Treasury and any number of churches will be happy to accept them.

• Require, by law, that CDC adhere to the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

• Require, by law, that CDC and FDA, report on their findings regarding causality from the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System quarterly.

• Pare CDC to its original infectious disease role. Period. No programs on “gun violence” or “diversity” or tracking Waste Water — the EPA already does that.

• Remove the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health from the chain of CDC command and make it a direct report to the Secretary, DHHS.

• Ban the hiring of former pharmaceutical industry employees for ten years after they have left the industry.

• Ban all CDC/NIOSH employees GS-12 and above, those in the Senior Executive Service, Commissioned Officers in the US Public Health Service, and political appointees from employment in the pharmaceutical industry for ten years following government service.

Again this is good first step.

SARS-CoV-2 and it’s attendant COVID-19 has taught us an invaluable lesson or at least it should have. If you do not understand by now that the incestuous relationship between the pharmaceutical industry and our public health and medical research agencies is corrupt to its core and has wantonly killed millions of people around the globe in pursuit of wealth and power then you’ve lived the last two years with your head deep in the sands of lies they’ve told.

This relationship must be ended. Unfortunately the tentacles of the pharmaceutical industry are legion and have increased in numbers beyond our wildest imaginations so that there is now hardly a health related activity that they do not control and when the do see one creep up — they kill it. And so it is time that We, The People take our lives back from them.

The way to do this is to leave the pharmaceutical industry alone. Let them make any useless vaccine or chemotherapeutic agent or drug that they wish . Wish them well.

Now on to the Alphabet Health Agencies, the great AHAs.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Take them down and take them down now.

How?

Cut their money off.

A full 24% of FDA funding (see below) comes from “user fees” paid by the pharmaceutical companies. The FDA User Fee Program “…help(s) the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to fulfill its mission of protecting the public health and accelerating innovation in the industry.” Here is a description of one Congressionally authorized user fee paid by the industry for prescription drugs.

In FY 2020, FDA had net collections of $1.020 billion in prescription drug user fees, spent $1.075 billion in user fees for the human drug review process, and carried a cumulative balance of $194 million forward for future fiscal years.

PDUFA user fees and non-user fee appropriations in FY 2020 supported 4,350 full-time equivalents, including salaries and operational expenses, to support the process for the review of human drug applications. Detailed program accomplishments can be found in the FY 2020 PDUFA Performance Report.

In case you’re wondering, a “full-time equivalent” (FTE) means the salary and other expenses needed to support ONE full time employee. This one user fee pays for the equivalent of 4,350 full time employees. The following is summary of the fee, the amount and the number of FTEs the pharmaceutical industry fee “supports”. In this instance it might be reasonable to say “employees”.

The FDA’s FY 2020 Budget Request was $6.1 B dollars IN ADDITION to the User Fees. In other words user fees represent a bit more than 24% of the total FDA budget and the funding for roughly 47% of its 18,062 FTEs.


The CARES Act

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), signed into law March 27, 2020, provides over $2 trillion of economic relief to workers, families, small businesses, industry sectors, and other levels of government that have been hit hard by the public health crisis created by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

IF — your response to this is “HUH???” its the right response because it is a content free description that tells us nothing. But here’s one of things that we know for certain that the CARES Act pays for — payments to hospitals for COVID-19 related “expenses”.

Those hospital payments include:

• A “free” required PCR test in the Emergency Room or upon admission for every patient, with government-paid fee to hospital.

• Added bonus payment for each positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

• Another bonus for a COVID-19 admission to the hospital.

• A 20 percent “boost” bonus payment from Medicare on the entire hospital bill for use of Remdesivir instead of medicines such as Ivermectin.

• Another and larger bonus payment to the hospital if a COVID-19 patient is mechanically ventilated.

• More money to the hospital if the cause of death (COD) is listed as COVID-19, even if the patient did not die because of COVID-19 only.

• A COVID-19 COD diagnosis also provides extra payments to coroners.

Why did I include the CARES Act here? Because the pharmaceutical industry makes the test kits and they make the vaccine and they make Remdesivir and the FDA approves regulates all of it including the ventilators. Hospitals and the pharmaceutical are making money from COVID hand over fist simply because people became ill from a virus of “dubious” origin.

One Last Piece

In 2020 the Director of the FDA was Scott Gottlieb, M.D. Doctor Gottlieb, upon leaving the FDA became a member of the Pfizer Board of Directors.

How Do We Fix It?

We fix this by having the political will to the following:

• Ban FDA employee’s who are GS-12 and above, Senior Executive Service or Officers of the US Public Health Service from employment in any entity regulated by the FDA for a period of ten years following their departure from government Service.

• Ban any person who worked for an entity regulated by the FDA from employment at the FDA for a period of ten years.

• Eliminate the User Fee Program and force the FDA to justify 8,470 FTEs that the User Fee Program supports. If they cannot then those positions will be eliminated.

• Reduce FDA discretionary spending by 50% and a 20% reduction in each subsequent budget year until discretionary spending reaches a ceiling of 1% of the total FDA budget.

• Eliminate the Emergency Use Authorization for vaccines.

• Demand that unless FDA produces compelling data to the contrary no off label use for any approved drug will be prohibited, discouraged or in any way disparaged.

This is a modest start.

The CDC is next.
