BAIER:  OK, just a couple more quickly.
 
This is LaurieAnn, who writes: "Why won't they talk about natural immunity? Every other country takes into account natural immunity. Why don't we?"
 
WALENSKY:  You know, we have -- that's a really good question.
 
And we have learned a lot about natural immunity. And we at CDC have recently released a scientific brief to demonstrate all that we know about natural immunity.
 
What we can tell you with Omicron, even with natural immunity, is that there's increased risk of reinfection with Omicron if you have been previously infected, compared to the prior variants. So even those with natural immunity, we are recommending that you get vaccinated and get boosted.
 
And, really, what this is telling us, what Omicron is telling us is, with a variant that has this many mutations, we need a really high level of immunity. And that means getting yourself maximally vaccinated.
 
BAIER:  But, if you had -- have Omicron, and you get through it, which most people are, does that provide immunity for Delta, or vice versa?
 
WALENSKY:  Yes, really important.
 
We're starting to look at the studies now in the lab that will try and inform the question of the cross-reactive protection of Delta to Omicron, and, in fact, of Omicron to Delta. And those studies are just emerging right now.
 
We do know that there's less cross-protection from prior variants to Omicron. And the studies of whether Omicron will protect you from other variants, those studies are just emerging. And then, of course, the studies that are going to happen at the population level in the clinical situation are still emerging right now.”
 


”Kristen Nordlund, a spokeswoman for the C.D.C., said the agency has been slow to release the different streams of data “because basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.” She said the agency’s “priority when gathering any data is to ensure that it’s accurate and actionable.”

Another reason is fear that the information might be misinterpreted, Ms. Nordlund said.

Dr. Daniel Jernigan, the agency’s deputy director for public health science and surveillance said the pandemic exposed the fact that data systems at the C.D.C., and at the state levels, are outmoded and not up to handling large volumes of data. C.D.C. scientists are trying to modernize the systems, he said.

“We want better, faster data that can lead to decision making and actions at all levels of public health, that can help us eliminate the lag in data that has held us back,” he added.” - NYT, 20 Feb 2022

A Special Note to Dr. Jernigan

It is your job to ensure that our public health surveillance systems are “up to handling large volumes of data” and the systems that you oversee are up to date. That’s it. That’s your one job and by your own admission you have failed at it. You should resign. Today.

A Nation Deceived

There are two points to be made about the revelation that CDC has withheld data and the positions of Gates and Fauci. First, the obvious. These people are really terrible communicators but of all of them Bill Gates has done the best job of telling the truth about natural immunity. No matter how you understand the word “sadly” in his context — its not good. Instead of celebrating what we all have known since childhood, that natural immunity is a fact of recovering from a viral infection, Bill Gates views it with sadness either because it means that the much touted vaccine isn’t living up to its press OR because natural immunity interferes with profit and societal control.

But the larger point is that CDC has gone out of its way to misinform the public in order to push its agenda of vaccination for everyone — even those who have recovered from a prior infection or are a member of demographic group in which the risk of contracting a severe case of COVID-19 is virtually non-existent.

The CDC has one job:

”CDC increases the health security of our nation. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. To accomplish our mission, CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.”

Yet Ms. Nordlund doesn’t seem to understand it is CDC’s job and not the public’s, to ensure that issues of great public health concern are presented so that they cannot be misinterpreted. Fear, of what the public will think about the truth is not an excuse for withholding it.

What exactly is the data that CDC has withheld from a public whom they view as being not smart enough to understand it? They have withheld data on the adverse events associated with the vaccine among those generally free from COVID-19 hospitalization and death and the scientific fact of natural immunity among those under 50 years old.

Why would CDC do this? Its a good question and one that leads to this simple answer": They withheld that data so that they can obtain what they perceive as their right to “vaccinate” children under five years old so that the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine will then be required forever.

In January of this year I wrote about Rochelle Walensky’s communications issues:

“Rochelle Walensky, Director CDC and one of the regular faces of the Great Pandemic believes that the real problem is that her ‘messaging’ has been off. And so she will be working with a communications expert to improve it. Then the problem will be solved and we will all understand and we will rush out bare armed for the next booster or variant shot.”

It is unconscionable (a word I seem to be using all too often when writing about CDC) to intentionally withhold data from the public. Withholding data prevents clear understanding and the kind of scientific discourse that is necessary to evaluate cause and develop solid prevention strategies.

And that — the withholding of facts from the world in general and the People of the United States specifically is what Gates, Fauci, and Walensky all have in common. They have lied to us. They have sown confusion. They have profited from their lies and intentional miscommunications. But the worst thing these three have done in concert with a willing and demanding White House and a very willing legacy media, is to manipulate the people of the United States into a position of subservience.

They have convinced a large number of us that wearing a paper mask over over their mouths will stop the spread of a virus communicated only by close contact with a very symptomatic person. They have also convinced that same large segment that there are an irrelevant number of people who have experienced an adverse event — including death. AND they have convinced that same group and a huge number of physicians that treatments that have been clearly demonstrated to prevent hospitalization and death are in fact dangerous.

And here is where the evil lies; they did all of that without producing on single bit of credible peer reviewed data. And they did it knowing that they were lying.

As I wrote in January of this year:

It is now too late for the CDC Zebra to change its stripes. They have no credibility. It would be best if CDC became a trophy on a wall in the Museum of the Irrelevant.
