CAN WE TALK -- NEANDERTHAL TO NEANDERTHAL?
Kim Moser; Whose Interests Does She Really Represent?
I want to address this issue right now, right up front and for the last time in this race.
A little more than one year ago (March 29, 2023) Kim Moser voted with three other State House Republicans and all but one Democrat House member to sustain Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto of legislation that:
Prohibits conversations around sexual orientation or gender identity in school for students of all grades.
Requires school districts to forbid trans students from using the bathroom tied to their gender identities.
Allows teachers to refuse to use a student’s preferred pronouns.
Bans all gender-affirming medical care for trans youth.
Requires doctors to de-transition minors in their care if they’re using any of the restricted treatment options.
This is what Rep. Moser had to say in support of her vote to sustain the Governor’s Veto:
“I think this goes too far. I think it’s discriminatory. I think it eliminates parents’ rights, or concern about parents’ rights in many other pieces of legislation that we’re debating here during the session. Yet, this takes parents’ rights away. We’re imposing this law children, families and health care workforce, and we haven’t even funded things like mental health first aid. I guess we’re gonna have to start doing that. ... So I’m a bit confused about what we’re doing and I just want to be sure that we are being thoughtful about this particular legislation. Again, I appreciate your work. I’d like to say to the rest of the world who’s watching Kentucky: we are not complete Neanderthals. We are generally very thoughtful people, and I really think that you are genuine in your efforts to protect children, and we all want to do that. We just need to be careful not to go too far.”
Fortunately, Ms. Moser and her liberal allies were unsuccessful.
I would like to point out just couple of things to Ms. Moser who apparently would put me in the “Neanderthal Camp”.
First, Ms. Moser, no matter how extensive the gender affirming care that you wish to legitimize is - it will not change the DNA in one single cell of the 17 trillion cells in a child’s body thus the child’s biological gender will never be altered. Ever. Not even in one of those 17 trillion cells. It is a matter of human biology, Ms. Moser. The biology of our creator and not that of “modern medicine.” Accepting that position does not make me or anyone else a Neanderthal.
Second, Ms. Moser support of the Governor’s veto puts you squarely in the anti-constitutional camp of those who support minority rule. When a minority of individuals are allowed to dictate to the majority how the majority must behave that becomes a tyranny of the minority. Make no mistake, the issue of transgenderism is not a civil rights issue. Not by any stretch of the imagination.
And while Ms. Moser would set herself apart from the “Neanderthals” in her own district it puts her squarely in the camp of every left leaning organization in the United States including the Democrat Party, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
For those of you familiar with Larry’s Letters you know that I have written extensively about the Transgender Movement in the United States and the billions of dollars that corporate America is spending to legitimize gender affirming care among your children and how the LGBTQ movement has led to great schisms in our leading Christian denominations. This is what I wrote to introduce “Volume I” of that series:
”The purpose of this series, this ‘Book’, is to provide the reader with a very brief introduction into what has been the hidden world of “gender diversity”. It is a murky world filled with deceit and lies all of which are intended to seduce our children and convince you that the abnormal is normal. In trying to lay out as simply as possible how this all began and how we arrived at where we are now I have barely scratched the surface.”
Ms. Moser is a nurse, a wife, a mother, and grandmother. She attends Mother of God Roman Catholic Church. She makes decisions that affect the lives of the men, women, and children in her district, her county, and her state. I expect that someone having Ms. Moser’s faith based background, medical education, and experience would understand the myth of biologically diverse gender and the harm caused by gender affirming care. I would also expect Ms. Moser to understand just one book of the Bible; Genesis.
I have more to say about Representative Moser and who her financial friends are but that will happen on another day.
Recently I was asked by a friend why I cared about candidates for the Commonwealth’s House and Senate in Districts other than mine. Kim Moser is my answer.
