CENSORSHIP IS ALIVE AND WELL AT META
PolitiFact --- A Great Misnomer Unless You Are A Communist.
Today I posted an article from the Epoch Times titled “Biden Admin Negotiates Deal to Give WHO Authority Over US Pandemic Policies” which broadly describes efforts by the Biden Administration to enter into a treaty/agreement with the WHO regarding global policies that would be put in place to regulate future pandemics. After all, WHO did such a fabulous job managing SARS-CoV-2 and ensuring that every possible treatment was available to world to combat this virus. Of course, those treatments had to have Pfizer’s seal of approval.
I posted that article for the sole purpose of explaining that any treaty between the United States and any other entity requires that 2/3rds of the U.S. Senate agree to it.
Here is this text of Article II. Section 2. of the United States Constitution:
”He (the president) shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate to make Treaties, provided that two thirds of the Senators present concur….”
The Epoch Times article also explained that there is some controversy about this specific issue and the applicability of Article II. Section 2. \
As soon as I attempted to post that article its was blocked by Meta because PolitiFact had deemed it to be false information.
The second article was about a bill introduced into the Senate by Ron Johnson (R) WI and Marsha Blackburn (R) TN. Ron Johnson arguably has more knowledge about COVID-19 policy and the missteps that forced this Nation into chaos for two years than any other person in Washington, D.C. The bill is called the "No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act" and its purpose is to take the legal arguments away from ensuring compliance with Article II. Section 2. FaceBook e.g. Meta has also judged that article, through the leftist censorship organization Poltifact, to contain false information.
Though FB/Meta provides a dispute process it is obtuse and not worth my time --- and I suppose that they planned it that way.
It is this type of blatant censorship that brought me to Substack.com where I and a host of other people with vast experience in public health science and policy can write without fear that a politically biased organization will censor our content and prevent people who are clearly eager and quite capable of thinking on their own to judge whether the information that they are being presented with is accurate or not. They most certainly do not need a man behind a curtain to do their thinking for them.
PolitiFact is a part of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) at the Poynter Institute where Ferdi Ferhat Özsoy is the Program Manager for IFCN.
Here is what Özsoy wrote about himself in an autobiography in 2018:
“It was so beautiful to have Atheist communists, such as myself, Sunni Muslims, Shias, Alevis, and all kinds of people united for freedom.” (emphasis added)
Though he states that he found God while imprisoned there is nothing in Özsoy’s autobiography to indicate that he has rejected communism. The two, God and Communism, are incompatible.
When I write I trust that my readers are smart enough to smell a rotting fish on their own. I provide links so that you may judge whether I am providing an accurate picture of the reality that exists in black and white.
1A psalm of David. LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?
2The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;
3whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others;
4who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD ; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; 5who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken. (Psalm 15)
