“Legal experts said the burden for Smith will now be to try and show that Trump knew and believed his allegations were untrue -- rather than him just exercising his right to free speech -- before he took the actions that led to the Jan. 6 calamity.
‘Special Counsel Jack Smith just issued the first criminal indictment of alleged disinformation in my view. If you take a red pen to all of the material presumptively protected by the First Amendment, you can reduce much of the indictment to haiku,’ George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley tweeted.” JTN
The haiku is a Japanese poetic form that consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. For example:
See Spot run. Run Spot.
Spot runs and runs far. Run Spot!
Spot ran and ran far. — by Me.
In the instant case Johnathan Turley might have written:
Trump spoke. Bad Trump. Bad.
Trump oh evil trump. Jail, evil Trump!
Trump spoke. Bad Trump. Bad
On the front page of today’s MSNBC digital offering there are no fewer than TEN stories about how Trump is finally going down. How the proof of his deceit and attempt to “overthrow a duly elected president” is now massive and clear. ABC News has SIX. CBS News has FIVE. And CNN? FFIFTEEN.
Four media outlets; THIRTY-SIX stories (as in works of fiction) about the evil Donald Trump who had the audacity to look at the circumstances of the 2020 election and came to believe that something wasn’t right and that the election needed to be more thoroughly investigated. Note well: Trump took no illegal actions he simple articulated his belief that the election was rife with fraud. A belief is an opinion. Sometimes that opinion is based on fact and sometimes it is based on a persons belief but at the end of the day or two years as is the case with the Smith indictment (read ham sandwich) the articulation of an opinion is still at the core of the First Amendment.
Where you position yourself on the spectrum of Trump’s guilt or innocence in this matter is irrelevant. The only point worth worrying about is the political theft of the First Amendment which in its “woke” version reads: “Congress bestows the right of citizens to object to the speech of another and to punish that person if they disagree with the content of that speech.” Cliff’s Notes version? Stick, stones and words may break my bones.
Of course there is one other thing that somehow MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN couldn’t seem to find space for: Devon Archers corroboration of Joseph Robinette Biden’s corruption in office as Vice President of the United States, as a candidate for President of the United States, and as President of the United States.
The legal case against Hunter Biden and his father, Joseph Robinette Biden, is real. Things that were suspected and believed with limited evidence three years ago are now proved not only by Hunter Biden’s own words, Joseph Robinette Biden,s own words, Devon Archer,s own words, but also the words of numerous government officials of the Ukrainian government shaken down by the Bidens to the tune of $10,000,000 more or less — probably more.
THIRTY-SIX stories telling you, asserting, alleging and demanding that you accept that Donald J. Trump attempted to over through the election and the government of the United States by offering an opinion and not one single story about the sworn testimony of Hunter Biden business partner, Devon Archer. Not one.
Nor did any of those “media giants” tell you this: Jack Smith’s prosecutorial team failed to disclose exculpatory evidence to the defense in the Trump Mar-a-lago document matter.
Happy dances are occurring in every corner of the woke and progressive democrat fiefdom.
No reportage on the Biden’s criminal activity and not one word about this tid-bit from a related trial in Pennsylvania:
“speaking to the public on matters of public concern is part of a President’s official duties. Indeed, the President’s use of the ‘bully pulpit’ to address the Nation has historically been an important feature of the office.”- Judge Michael E. Erdos of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas
While Erdos continued opining that in another court Trump’s words might not be considered to be protected speech it is hard to imagine what that venue and those circumstances might be unless it can be shown that Trump ordered insurrection or took actions to cause one. That is clearly not the case given these words delivered by the President on January 6, 2020 while he was still the President of the United States of America:
It is worth noting that there is now ample evidence that the DOJ/FBI and other government operatives were complicit in instigating the events of January 6, 2020. It is equally clear that the evidence demonstrating Biden family corruption increases everyday as does Trumps substantial and most likely insurmountable lead over any other GOP candidate AND Joseph Robinette Biden.
Behind the scenes states which were the subject of election controversy in 2020 have been taking steps to prevent future election “problems”. IF there were no concerns for a fraudulent election why would a state take actions to prevent election fraud in the future?
Taking down Donald Trump by any means necessary is viewed by the left as a very legal public service and a requirement of being a member in good standing in the family of man.
It is now deeply embedded in the DNA of the left to govern and function by bullying using fictional authorities that they insist are Constitutional rights. Further, they insist that only they have those rights and conservatives and anyone who disagrees with them (read Robert F. Kennedy Jr.) do not. This only stops when we stand together and say: No more.
