IT IS HAPPENING AS PREDICTED
The Casting Of Hamas And The Palestinians As The True Victims Has Begun And Israel Responds
“BLINKEN TO VISIT THURSDAY TO 'SHOW SOLIDARITY AND SUPPORT'
Horrified Biden details Hamas’s ‘sheer evil,’ vows to ensure Israel can defend itself”
So reads the headline from today’s on-line edition of The Times of Israel.
I suppose we are to take comfort in Blinken’s visit and Biden’s horror and we would if this had been their first reaction. On Saturday, 7 October, Hamas launched a multi-pronged, savage, and indiscriminate attack against the Israeli civilian population. On Sunday, 8 October, when the extent of the Hamas savagery was becoming clear, Anthony Blinken wrote this on Twitter:
”"Turkish Foreign Minister @HakanFidan and I spoke further on Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel. I encouraged Türkiye’s advocacy for a cease-fire and the release of all hostages held by Hamas immediately…."”according to the New York Post.
The message though almost immediately taken off Twitter was clear: The Secretary of State of the United States who will now be traveling to Israel to ensure that we are there for them and always be—told the Israelis as they were attempting to defend themselves — don’t respond. Take the punch. Turn the other cheek. No harm; no foul.
Biden was silent for three full days. The democrats wanted to hang George bush for not immediately rushing out of a grade school classroom instead of remaining there for as long as five minutes after the terrorist attack on 9/11/2001
In his remarks yesterday, October 10, 2023, Joe Biden said this:
“So, in this moment, we must be crystal clear: We stand with Israel. We stand with Israel. And we will make sure Israel has what it needs to take care of its citizens, defend itself, and respond to this attack.”
Two days ago, retired General Barry McCaffrey speaking on MSNBC’s Weekend With Alex Whit said:
"The other shoe we're waiting to see if it drops is, will Hezbollah intervene out of Lebanon with their 100,000 some odd rockets? Will the West Bank ignite? And what will the Syrians and the Egyptians do?" McCaffrey said.
"I would suggest to you our support of Israel will be absolute, and if we see Syrian military intervention, active Iranian military intervention, we'll go to war…."
The next day and continuing into today the Iranian surrogate terrorist group, Hezbollah, has been firing rockets into northern Israel from Lebanon and Syria.
"Hezbollah, a militant group in Lebanon, said Sunday that it had fired rockets into the Golan Heights, which Israel annexed from Syria in 1981.
The shelling was in solidarity with the "Palestinian resistance," the group said.”
Here’s the question: How do groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, and all the other A-Team terrorist organizations fund their carnage? Not from an agrarian economy or a huge manufacturing base that exports rugs and wicker furniture around the world. No; their money comes from Iran, the UAE, the UN, the United States, probably China, and who knows who else.
So it is clear that the rockets and drones which have been made in Iran have found their way into the hands of Hezbollah AND Hamas. And, of course, those rockets are now being thrown against an Israeli citizenry trying to stay alive not knowing where those rockets may land.
To paraphrase Barry McCaffrey, Iran is “actively intervening militarily”. Why? In order to eliminate Israel and every Jew who lives there. That is their goal. The next question is: Where does Iran get its money to support these groups?
Here’s one source, Tony Badran , Research Fellow, Foundation For Defense Of Democracies wrote in March of this year:
“The Biden administration is on the verge of announcing a new nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Despite an eleventh-hour delay caused by Russian maneuvering, the agreement is reportedly ready. As part of that deal, the administration presumably will lift sanctions on a host of Iranian banks and companies involved in terrorism, even removing the the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from the foreign terrorist organization list, releasing billions of dollars to the clerical regime that will finance its regional ambitions from the Gulf to the Mediterranean. In other words, the president and his team are planting a bomb in the Middle East and lighting the fuse.”
The “agreement” referred to is the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Otherwise known as the International Agreement on the Nuclear Program of Iran and it was worth approximately $6.3B of Iranian assets that had been frozen by President Donald Trump because he could not certify that Iran was not developing nuclear weapons capability. The Iranians seem to believe that those assets are much larger.
“The Biden administration is finalizing a deal that would provide the Islamic Republic with relief from U.S. sanctions in exchange for temporary and limited curbs on Iran’s nuclear program. When the administration lifts sanctions, Tehran will immediately gain access to an estimated $86.1 billion to $130.5 billion in foreign assets that currently are not fully accessible and readily available.”
But for now I will stick with the paltry $6.3 billion dollars in assets, fungible assets, released by Joe Biden to the Iranians in September 2023, just weeks before Hamas’s latest terrorist attack on the Israeli people.
That $6.3 billion dollar bomb described by Tony Badran has now exploded. That it would explode was absolutely predictable because it happened before — just a mere eight years ago.
“A primary beneficiary of the deal's impending windfall will be Iran's most potent export: Hezbollah, the Lebanese legion of the IRGC. The terrorist group knows what's coming its way, because it has seen this play before. Back in 2015, on the eve of the first Iran deal, the group's leader Hassan Nasrallah gloated: "If Iran gets back this money, what will it do with it? A rich and strong Iran will be able to stand by its allies and friends...more than in any time in the past."
This is what Tony Bardan wrote in May 2015:
“Last week, the Israeli Air Force struck a cache of long-range missiles belonging to Hezbollah and put the Shia militia on notice. As air force chief Major-General Amir Eshel explained, “Our ability today to attack targets on a large scale and with high precision is about 15 times greater than what we did in the (2006) war” with Hezbollah.
Nonetheless, Hezbollah and its patrons in Iran are confident. Israel, from their perspective, is just an American asset, and they’ve got the Obama administration in hand. The White House is marketing the proposed nuclear deal with Iran as a “win-win” agreement, but that’s not how Iran’s proxy in Lebanon sees it. In the longstanding standoff between America and Iran, there has to be a winner and a loser. Iran won and the United States lost.
Over the last few weeks, Hezbollah media has been celebrating what they understand as a strategic victory. In an editorial, entitled “A New World: The West Capitulates,” Ibrahim al-Amin, editor of the pro-Hezbollah newspaper Al-Akhbar, wrote that the preliminary agreement reached in Lausanne was hardly a “win-win” settlement. Rather, as has been the case throughout history, there is “a victor and vanquished.” The end result of the decades-long conflict between Iran and the West, Amin added, was clear: the West has capitulated.
Amin drew on Obama’s April 2nd Rose Garden address, and noted that the president presented two choices: either this deal or war. Clearly, Amin added, war was not a realistic choice for Obama. So, in truth, he had no choice but to yield. For Hezbollah and its Iranian patrons, Obama’s talking point about the lack of alternatives to this deal revealed a fundamental truth. They understood — quite accurately — that the White House had no chance of succeeding in the negotiations if it was not willing to strike Iran, if it had to. Either force was on the table or it wasn’t. The Iranians and Hezbollah had concluded that, for Obama, this was never an actual choice.”
Eight months later Hamas began a series of attacks against Israel. Those attacks included rockets launched from Gaza by Hamas.
On Saturday, 7 October 2023 just one month after Iranian assets were freed up by the Biden administration Hamas fired more than 3,000 rockets at the Israeli civilian population.
Since I began this piece at about 5:00 A.M. EST I have received 17 alerts on my cell phone from the Jerusalem Post announcing that sirens have gone off in Israel as the result of rocket attacks from Gaza and Lebanon and Syria e.g. Hamas and Hezbollah.
Money is fungible.
Further duplicity by the Biden administration is just around the corner. There is a carrier group within striking distance of Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. Iran is close by. IF the Biden administration is truly “horrified” by the murder of unarmed civilians OF ALL AGES including babies then US Navy air assets should already be in play. They are not. The carnage continues and the perpetrators are being made the victims.
Calls for Israeli restraint and a cease-fire are premature at best.
“7The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. 8But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
10But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him.” Deuteronomy 7:7-10
