Yesterday in ITS NOT TIME FOR A HAPPY DANCE I wrote:
“Apparently NPR no longer believes in the practice of asking “who, what, where, when, and why” when it comes to solid reportage.
Politico has run virtually an identical story as have KIRO7 (Seattle, WA), NBCNews.Com, digital journal.com, news.yahoo.com, CNN.com, et cetera, et cetera et cetera….I think you get the point. By the way, the original story is from the once upon a time respected Associated Press.”
Coincidentally, justthenews.com published this story yesterday afternoon:
“Associated Press surreptitiously drops claim about 'violent confrontations' over Target Pride merch”. Here is the opening for that story:
”The Associated Press has removed uncredited claims, without telling readers, that Target yanked or relocated LGBTQ merchandise featured prominently in Pride Month displays in response to "threats to workers" and "violent confrontations" between customers and employees.
Just the News noticed the wire service made the claims in its own voice in the headline and first paragraph of the report posted Tuesday night, rather than attributing those claims to Target, despite providing no evidence of threats or violence. The story was widely carried in other media.
Those claims had disappeared a day later without a correction or editor's note.”
IF there was ever any doubt that our media was biased and left leaning this should erase that doubt. AP knew that they had “erred” but chose not to tell its readers or its clients; they simply changed the story hoping that you wouldn’t notice.
Meanwhile: “The Company reported first quarter GAAP earnings per share (EPS) of $2.05, down 4.8 percent from $2.16 in 2022. First quarter Adjusted EPS1 of $2.05 decreased 6.2 percent compared with $2.19 in 2022.”
It remains to be seen what Target’s experience on Wall Street will be today but it may not be good: “American Conservative Values ETF divests all Target holdings, puts retailer on blacklist amid LGBTQ merchandising controversy".
Until Target Corp. acquires a better understanding of its core consumer it may be a rocky road. Perhaps if they severed their relationship with GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network and other similar LGBTQA+ organizations they would see a substantial increase in their value.

Interesting that those media outlets don't allow any comments. Likely so they can spread their propaganda far and wide without being called out or questioned about it.
KIRO is worthless. Haven't watched it in YEARS.
