"These are our kids. These are our neighbors. It's cruel and it's callous. It's not somebody else's kids, they're all our kids.” Joe Biden, 8 June 2023
What exactly was Biden talking about? He was railing against a slew of states that have passed or are in the process of passing legislation that bans “gender affirming”
surgeries on children.
Its hard to top that assertion but he did:
"But our fight is far, far from over because we have some hysterical and, I would argue, prejudiced people who are engaged in all that you see going on around the country. It's an appeal to fear, and it's an appeal that is totally, thoroughly unjustified, and ugly."
I want to be very clear about this. The notion that children born in this nation are not the children of their parents but rather the children of the government can not stand. Joe Biden has no authority to make such a claim and it must be rejected at every turn. Nor does he have any information that those of us who are opposed to the imposition of transgender ideology on our children have become violent in our opposition.
Biden’s characterization of those mothers and fathers who have demanded those laws, the legislators who have crafted and voted for such legislation, and the governors who have signed it into law those as “hysterical” and “prejudiced” is demagoguery unparalleled in the history of this United States.
Make no mistake, the president of the United States of America clearly believes that those of us who are working hard to stop the physical and mental abuse and grooming of OUR children and grandchildren among the “hysterical” and “prejudiced”of the nation. And yesterday he promised that such “care” which will be ensured by the full weight and authority of the United States government:
“Congress has to pass … the Equality Act and send it to my desk. LGBTQ Americans, especially children, you're loved, you're heard, and this administration has your back, and I mean it. We are not relenting one single second to make sure that they're protected.”
What did Biden mean when said that he wants to : “…make sure that they’re protected?” He means that as a parent you will not be allowed to stand between your child’s whim and what ever the US government deems that your child should be allowed to do with their bodies regardless of how life threatening and altering it may be.
Furthermore, Biden believes that restricting access to books that are intended to entice children into accepting LGBTQ+ ideology is a “civil rights violation” that makes it “harder for kids to learn”.
Learn what? That sexual pervasion is just fine? That parents are irrelevant? That God is of no consequence?
These comments were made yesterday (8 June 2023) by Biden in response to a question by a reporter at a joint press conference with U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. But like a good TV huckster would say — But wait! There’s more!
And here it is.
The Q & A were scripted.
Here is the question posed by PBS NewsHour White House correspondent Laura Barrón-López:
“All over the country… Republican led states are passing laws – passing anti-LGBT, anti-transgender laws that restrict rights and medical care. Intimidate(sic) is on the rise. This week, anti-LGBTQ protesters turned violent in California.”
“(I) spoke to the parents of a transgender girl in Texas who told me that they're afraid and that they are considering leaving not just their state, but the country. Sir, why do you think this is happening? And what do you say to parents like the ones that I spoke to-to those families who are contemplating leaving the country because they don't feel safe anymore?”
Here is what media analyst Curtis Houck had to say about the spectacle:
"Notice how Biden read from prepared remarks in answering PBS reporter Laura Barrón-López's ‘question’ about ‘anti-LGBTQ’ views in America, saying those who believe men are men & women are women are 'prejudiced,' ‘ugly’ people."
Houck added: "ZERO question this was pre-screened. ALL scripted."
Joe Biden’s characterization of those of us who are opposed to transgender ideology being forced onto OUR children as being “hysterical” and “prejudiced” smacks of the Obama disparagement of those who opposed his economic policies:
“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
It is the way of the left in this great nation to push a theory of governance in which individual liberty and expression are subject to the whim and dictates of the state. In this theory it is the elite on the left (and by definition it is only those on the left who are elite) who know best how we should function and live our lives and that includes how our children should be raised.
2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3
