A rendering of a fetus at 10 weeks. The heart that began developing at 6 weeks is now well formed.
Before I get into this I want to make it clear that whether a woman choses to have an abortion or not is a matter of her exercise of the free will that God has granted us. God granted us that free will hoping that we would choose Him and His path and that we would aspire to be Godly and to commit Godly acts.
No one in the world including the Chinese, is prevented from reproducing. Every woman on the planet has the right to reproduce like the proverbial rabbit in the woods. Roe v. Wade had not one single thing to do with reproduction rights. All that Roe v. Wade did was to ensure that an abortion became a federal “right”. But it was wrongly decided because the federal government never had the authority to make abortion a right using the judiciary to do so. Had Congress passed a law with the provisions of Roe v Wade in it that would have been a different matter. But they did not and now the terms and conditions of abortion are in the hands of the individual states and their citizens.
So, ladies IF you want to be that bunny in the woods without the consequences of your actions you are free to do so as long as you live in a state where the laws are compatible with your bunnyness. And for Pete's sake stop putting forth the nonsensical argument that abortion is a matter of a woman's reproductive health. In fact, true "reproductive health" has not one thing to do with your bunnyness.
Finally, there is this. While you are free to be that bunny and do so without consequence you are not free to force me to accept it or to fund it. As soon as you do that you are infringing my well established First Amendment rights.
Why this rant?
Because Kamala Harris loves telling us all that abortion is a "right" just like freedom of speech and worship and that there should be a federal law that guarantees it and that she will work to make that happen. She has that right and I have an equal right to reject that potential law. “Ain’t that America?” Not the Mellencamp dark and cynical version but the real America where rights are equally applied.
If Kamala Harris prevails your tax dollars and mine will be used to conduct abortions. For those of us who believe that abortion is murder —when you force me to pay for your bunnyness without consequence you are forcing us to pay for the murder of a child which violates God's commandments. There are states that agree that your bunnyness without consequence at any time during your pregnancy should be fully protected by law -- move there.
What about the necessity of abortion to save a mother's life? It was never prevented and it isn't now --- anywhere. How often is it necessary --- far, far less than Kamala Harris would have you believe. The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology wrote this in 2012:
“ACOG, Oct. 19: Contrary to the inaccurate statements made yesterday by Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL), abortions are necessary in a number of circumstances to save the life of a woman or to preserve her health. Unfortunately, pregnancy is not a risk-free life event, particularly for many women with chronic medical conditions. Despite all of our medical advances, more than 600 women die each year from pregnancy and childbirth-related reasons right here in the US. In fact, many more women would die each year if they did not have access to abortion to protect their health or to save their lives.”
But here is the funny thing about that statement. The ACOG NEVER tells us that those 600 women would be alive today if they would have had an abortion. Nor did ACOG support their assertion that many more would have died “if they did not have access to abortion to protect their health or to save their lives.”
The same “fact” check article provides a rendering of the information from the CDC’s Pregnancy Mortality Surveillance System. Here is what FactCheck.org wrote:
(the Pregnancy Mortality Surveillance System) “reported a higher number for pregnancy-related deaths for 2006-2007, the most recent statistics. It found that 1,294 deaths that occurred within a year of pregnancy termination were pregnancy-related. Why did these women die? There were several causes, including cardiovascular disease, hemorrhage, hypertension, infections and embolisms. A small percentage — 0.6 percent — died from complications related to anesthesia. And 5.6 percent died from unknown causes. That doesn’t mean that an abortion would have saved the life of the mother in those cases, but it does indicate that “modern technology and science” have not made it so women no longer risk death from pregnancy.”
I hope that you understand that FactCheck.org is playing Three Card Monte with the information. Embeded in that paragraph is the assertion without factual basis that all of “1,294 deaths that occurred within a year of pregnancy termination were pregnancy-related”.
What neither ACOG, CDC or FactCheck.org explain is that many of those medical conditions that they appear to ascribe to a pregnancy have other causes or that in any given year there are roughly 6 million pregnancies in the U.S. Thus those 1,249 pregnancies that are claimed to have resulted in maternal death represent only about 0.02% of all pregnancies. IF we consider the 600 maternal deaths that ACOG asserts are pregnancy related then we are talking about 0.01% of all pregnancies.
Abortion may rarely be a matter of maternal health but it is never about maintaining the health of a baby.
Here is Kamala Harris in her own words:
“I do believe when you know what you stand for, you know what to fight for. We stand for the freedom of every American, including the freedom of every person everywhere to make decisions – about their own body, their own health care and their own doctor. So we fight for reproductive rights and legislation that restores the protections of Roe v. Wade. And here’s the thing. The majority of Americans are with us, they agree.”
Not really, Kamala. What most Americans really agree on is that there should be restraints on abortion. And that those restraints should be decided by the People of the several states AND THEIR OWN CONSCIENCE. And that your “morality” Kamala, will not be imposed on the rest of us.
13"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16

Do not be bullied by those who insist that abortions are saving great numbers of lives; they are not. Do not be bullied by those who insist that an abortion is healthcare; it is not.
I was just blessed with 2 more great grandchildren, 10 weeks apart, n followed the growth n birth of one with weekly app data explaining in detail the development from conception.
I have definitely been there.. done that... as a mother, grandmother n two older great grands... however, I was in awe once again, at the marvel n miracle of birth... perhaps it's my now age.. closer to my eternity..
life begins at conception... a microscopic meeting that if exactly everything connects n multiples n aligns n .... n ...
a human being... is born
Marvelous
Miraculous

Beyond human words to describe n express
Joy unspeakable n full of Glory
abortion is not a right
It is taking a life

And it is a statistical fact that for every mother, there is a father. Yes, he matters. It defies logic (and progressives routinely defy logic) to say that the fetus is not human, only a growth, and that the woman can do as she pleases with it without consulting the father. That means, at the moment of conception, the man did not contribute to creating a human, he contributed to creating a biomass. Somehow, that biomass, at the moment of birth instantly becomes a human. Neat trick! But the father is the father only of biomass, not a baby. That's how progressives see it. So, the father has no responsibility for the baby, because he never fathered a baby.
