On Being Dumbfounded
Amazed, astonished, astounded, bowled over, flabbergasted, floored, rocked, shocked, startled, stunned, stupefied, surprised, and last but not least thunderstruck.
Something has been bothering me and I didn’t quite know what it is but now I think I understand that this simple question is at the center of my angst: IF the “vaccine” is so good, so wonderful, so necessary for everyone to have why did we have such a huge spike in cases attributed to the SARS-CoV-2 variant called Omicron?
That question is followed by the true core of that angst: IF as is being widely reported, the vaccine is ineffective against the Omicron variant why are the White House, FDA, CDC, and Tony Two Masks all insisting that we continue injecting ourselves and our children with a mRNA preparation touted to protect us against a variant of SARS-CoV-2 that no longer appears to exist?
Perhaps Rochelle Walensky, CDC Director has the answer. In fact, she does. Rochelle seems to always have an answer. Sometimes her answers and reality coincide. This doesn’t seem to be one of those times.
In a February 9, 2022 interview Walensky made this statement:
“Our hospitalizations are still high, Our death rates are still high,” Walensky said. “As we are encouraged by the current trends, we are not there yet.”
Let’s unpack those two sentence just a tiny bit.
Sentence 1: hospitalizations and death rates are still “high”.
Sentence 2: current trends presumably in hospitalizations and deaths look good be we can't stop doing what we’re doing because its working
Here is the graphical representation for New Cases (Blue Line) and Mortality (Orange Line). First, mortality is what is called a “lagging indicator” which means that you can’t die from an illness until you have that illness.
Here is the data from the graph. If you scroll over the curves the data will appear. On February 9, 2022 CDC tells us that there were 201,974 new cases of Omicron in the United States. With a population of 332,506,455 (10:41:35 UTC 16 Feb 2022) the rate of new cases in the United States on February 9, 2022 was 0.06%.
Another way of looking at this is that on February 9, 2022 the day that the Director of CDC was still sounding the alarms about the Omicron variant - 99.94% of us did not have COVID-19.
As far as mortality is concerned, the rate was 4.93 deaths per 100,000 people (not just those with COVID-19) or 0.00493%. On February 9, 2022 — 99.9951% of us did not die from COVID-19.
I’m a simple guy. I see this as good news. REALLY good news. Particularly REALLY good news given the fact that the “vaccine” that Rochelle Walensky insists that we and our children all have — is largely ineffective against the Omicron Variant.
”Sheba Hospital last month tested a fourth shot given to more than 270 medical workers, with 154 getting the Pfizer jab and 120 receiving Moderna.
The researchers revealed Monday that both groups showed a “slightly higher” increase in antibodies than after the third shot — but still not enough to prevent Omicron, the latest variant responsible for the vast majority of infections around the world.”
And what about Walensky’s assertion that “hospitalizations are still high” ? Here again is the data — her data. After all she is the Director of the agency that produced it so she “owns it”. On February 8, 2022 the day before Walensky’s interview new hospital admissions for confirmed COVID-19 were 3.66/100,000 people or 0.00366% of the entire US population. Yes, it is true. On February 8, 2022 — 99.9963% of us were not in the hospital due to a confirmed case of COVID-19.
CDC argues that the vaccine is, in fact, effective against the Omicron variant. However, what they don’t tell you publicly is how they arrived at the conclusion which is a bizarre thing to wrap ones mind around for two reasons.
And here is where I become dumbfounded.
How does one know that a vaccine given yesterday prevented a case, a hospitalization or a death from COVID-19 caused by the Omicron variant today? It is a an assertion. Period. Nothing more. Yet this is what the White House, the FDA, the CDC, Pfizer, and Tony Two Masks are all insisting is the reason to be vaccinated.
Here is another possible reason for their position.
Money and control.
