The video which is the body of today’s issue of Larry’s Letters, is a sermon by Pastor Gary Hamrick, Cornerstone Chapel, Leesburg, Virginia. According to Pastor Hamrick there are 90,000,000 people in the United States who consider themselves to be Evangelical Christians. Those 90 million people represent roughly 26% of the total population of the United States. Of those 90 million Evangelical Christians 55,000,000 of them ( about 16% of the U.S.Population) do not vote.
Here are just a few of the issues confronting us today that require the close attention of the Christian voter: abortion, LGBTQ+ ideology — particularly transgenderism and the mutilation of our children, immigration and economic policies. They all have a Biblical component that tells us what God’s view is and what he would have us do. The Bible even tells how God views a good king or a bad king.
The Bureau of the Census reports that 154.6 million people voted in the 2020 presidential election. You know the outcome.
Imagine what our Nation would look like today if those 55,000,000 non-voting Evangelicals had come off the bench and entered the game on the side of God and the Republic. Religious freedom would not be at risk. Our borders would be secure and we would have a sound and loving immigration policy. Abortions would be rare and not performed as a service of the democrat party during their convention or at will or at any time during a woman’s pregnancy. Gender affirming care and the surgical mutilation of children would end. Funding of and participation in endless wars would end. Israel would have an ally not for political expediency but because it is God’s command. The United States could finally become that “City on the hill that cannot be hidden.”
IF you know an Evangelical Christian who is a non-voter for alleged reasons of faith please share this sermon with them and urge them to register if they are not and to vote as God would have them vote.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15
