The Rate of Post Vaccine Hospitalization Appears to be 31.7 Times Greater Than the Rate of Hospitalization Among the Unvaccinated
Rochelle ---- Release ALL the data
Here is CDC’s headline:Hospitalizations are 8X Higher in Unvaccinated Adolescents
Ages 12-17 Years.
And here is CDC’s pretty picture to go with that headline.
Look at that! Wow. Eight times higher! Surely this all the reason that any of us needs rush our five year-olds to the nearest clinic and have them vaccinated. Just three shots should do it and then…. And then what? A new variant of SARS-CoV-2 or a completely different virus will show up and we start all over again. OR your child will experience an adverse event from the first or second dose. But I’m getting ahead of myself so lets step back and take a look at what is behind the headline.
There is a lot to unpack here so let’s begin with “8X Higher”.
The rate of COVID-19 associated hospitalizations in the FULLY VACCINATED group is 3.2 children/100,000 population or 0.0032%.
The rate of COVIDF-19 associated hospitalizations in the UNVACCINATED group is 12.3 children/100,000 or 0.0123%
So that’s CDC’s headline.
Here is my headline.
The Rate of Hospitalizations Among Vaccinated Children 12-17 Years Old is 31.7 Times Greater Than the Rate of Hospitalization Among the Unvaccinated in the Same Age Group
But what about hospitalizations reported in VAERS among the vaccinated? According to OpenVAERS.com there are currently 34,831 reports concerning children who may have experienced vaccine related adverse events. Of those 34,831 reports, 136 or 0.39% are reporting hospitalizations and these are not hospitalizations for insignificant reasons. Read through the reports see for yourselves and while you are browsing through those reports remember this: VAERS is under reported by a factor somewhere between 31 and 100.
Here is another perspective. Based on OpenVAERS, the rate of post vaccination hospitalizations (0.39%) is 31.7 times greater than the rate (0.0123%) of “COVID-19 associated” hospitalizations among the unvaccinated.
Who’s Right CDC or Larry?
What do we know about the accuracy of all of these numbers? Thanks to the “skillful”leadership of Rochelle Walensky, CDC Director we know that numbers that she offers us is not in the least bit reflective of the truth because Rochelle Walensky’s CDC has adopted a policy of withholding data on COVID-19 adverse event reports from the public lest we misinterpret that data.
Until Walensky’s CDC decides that it is truly a public health agency and not a PR firm for the pharmaceutical industry, I’ll stick with my numbers.

I would love to do that but as CDC has recently admitted they have withheld making all of the data available for analysis because we might "misinterpret" it. More on this later.
.39% is the rate of hospitalizations among reported adverse events. Would you not want to compare the ratio of kids hospitalized due to COVID and the vaccine to the total number vaccinated instead?
