Is it How She Conveys Her Message or How She Constructs Her Message?

Rochelle Walensky, Director CDC and one of the regular faces of the Great Pandemic believes that the real problem is that her “messaging” has been off. And so she will be working with a communications expert to improve it. Then the problem will be solved and we will all understand and we will rush out bare armed for the next booster or variant shot.

But let’s consider something else. Let’s consider what the world would be like today if Rochelle and my favorite, Tony Two Masks, hadn’t lied to us about SARS-CoV-2 and its origins or about Covid and how it can be easily, effectively, and cheaply treated to prevent prolonged illness and death.

What would the world look like if Walensky hadn’t changed the definition of “vaccine” to mean something that doesn’t necessarily prevent transmission of a virus but MAY make you feel better. Doesn’t that make a vaccine a treatment? And if a vaccine is now a treatment then why must we use her treatment which has proven to be both ineffective and dangerous?

What would the world look like if Walensky hadn’t violated the Administrative Procedures Act and illegally changed how mortality is coded for those who who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 post mortem so that no matter what the cause of death was IF a person tested positive upon autopsy Cause of Death was given as COVID-19.

What would the world look like if Walensky had directed CDC’s army of epidemiologists to take the reports in CDC’s own Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) seriously and determine immediately whether all the reported vaccine related deaths that were reported to it are, indeed, caused by the vaccine or not? Or the heart attacks. Or the miscarriages. Or the Bell’s Palsy. Or any of the myriad adverse events contain in VAERS.

What if?

In 30 plus years of writing public health policy I was guided by my own rule: Never Lie.

Dr. Walensky would be far better off if she forgot about the messaging consultant and instead followed the Mazzucchelli rule of Public Health Communication.
