UNDERSTANDING NEW HAMPSHIRE
It Wasn't Even Close Except In Grafton County And That Is Where Your Attention Is Needed.
By now anyone who is interested which is far fewer than should be, knows that President Trump won the New Hampshire primary and that did so without nail biting. In 9 of 10 NH counties Trump dominated by double digits. Grafton county which ironically is colored blue, is home to Ivy League, Dartmouth College. Nikki Haley won Grafton county by less than 4%. Everywhere else in the state Trump beat Haley so soundly that overall he won by more than 11.5%.
But here are the really significant facts.
Trump pulled in 163,700+ votes(votes are still being tallied). That total is greater than any primary candidate in the history of the state has ever received. The next closest was the Vermont next door neighbor, socialist Bernie Sanders with 151,584 votes.
Joe Biden, who was not on the ballot but was write-in candidate and received a reasonable 54,739 beating his chief opponent, Dean Philips who was on the ballot by about 34,000 votes.
All election victories rely on turnout. As note above Trump received a record 163,714+ votes (ballots are still being tallied). ALL the democrats combined received a mere 90,990. To be fair, there were almost 15,000 additional write in ballots that have not been processed. But even if those votes are included the democrats only managed turn out 105, 957 voters. Even Nikki Haley received more votes than that bringing in 129,651 additional GOP votes.
Caveat 1: the vote totals for Haley are more than likely skewed by the fact that New Hampshire is an open primary state. In order to vote in the primary all one needs to do is request a ballot for which ever party’s primary you would like participate in. It is highly likely that a good number of Haley votes came from “independents” and democrats.
Caveat 2: Haley’s victory in Grafton county is no surprise. Grafton County is home to Ivy League, Dartmouth College. It is also no surprise that Dartmouth students and others in Grafton county who are in one way or another allied with Dartmouth have a visceral reaction to Donald Trump, supporter of Israel and opponent of DEI.
Here is part of a the statement issued by 14 Dartmouth student groups concerning the war in Gaza:
“The time has come for Dartmouth to recognize the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and take action to divest from Israeli apartheid — we cannot afford to lose any more lives.”
I understand my readers and so it is not necessary for me to unpack that statement to point out its inherent failure to provide the truth.
Do not forget this. Donald Trump is a candidate under duress just as he was during his entire presidency an yet he garnered more primary votes in NH than anyone in history.
The greatness of nations can be measured by how they choose to be known. This is a nation that has always sought to be known as a fair, honest, and reliable defender of rights and freedoms among its citizens and around the world. That vision of who we really are is the true vision and not false vision of a socialist empire where elites are in charge and perversion is the norm.
