WHAT DO THE DEMOCRATS HAVE IN COMMON WITH DJ DANIELS, JASON HARTLEY, RILEY GAINES, PAYTON MCNABB, AND THE COMPERATORE FAMILY?
Not A Thing.
THAT is a photo of Democrat Representative Rosa DeLauro, (CN) in attendance at last evening’s address by President Trump to the Joint Session of Congress.
THAT is Democrat Representative Al Green from Texas just before Speaker Johnson ordered himremoved by the Sargent at Arm for refusing to be seated and remain orderly as President Trump began his speech.
Sitting behind Mr. Green is a very representative image of his democrat colleagues and how they behaved during the entire one hour and thirty-nine Minutes.
And this is a photo of the inspirational 13-year old DJ Daniels whose only dream is to one day be a law enforcement officer. DJ is remarkable because he is a brain cancer survivor. The person with the huge grin in the photo in the lower left hand corner whom DJ is hugging is Sean Curran, President Trump’s Secret Service Director.
Just as the democrats had sat in silence when Al Green was removed from the Chamber floor they somehow also managed to sit in silence when President Trump made this young man an honorary Secret Service agent. The hug he gave Curran was spontaneous and sincere. For many of us watching it was a moment of tearful joy. For the democrats present it was a moment to continue their protest of Donald Trump which apparently required showing disdain and disrespect for young Mr. Daniels. Just as they did for this young man, Jason Hartley, a stellar student and athlete who aspired to admission to West Point. It was a dream fulfilled by President Trump who notified Jason during his speech that had been accepted to West Point. A Presidential Appointment to West Point is a really big deal.
And while the President introduced Payton McNabb a beautiful young woman with a future as a collegiate volleyball player who was left partially paralyzed by a male athlete she was forced to compete against in a high school game — the democrats sat in silence. Some turned their backs to Ms. McNabb. Some just refused to look at her. Some probably remember that just a few hours early they refused as a whole to vote for legislation that would ban men from participating in women’s athletic programs.
The democrats disdain for excellence, honor, and determination in the face of evil showed no boundaries as they ignored the widow and daughters of Corey Comperatore who gave his life in the bleachers of Butler, Pennsylvania so that they would live.
And so passed 99 minutes of the democrat response to the President and the People of the United States as we shared in the joy of the President’s early accomplishments his vision of a better America, and the celebration of the lives of DJ, Jason, Payton, and the Comperatore family.
Small people deserve a small photo.
In 1970 Congress passed the Occupational Safety and Health Act. It is in my view a masterpiece of bipartisan legislation that can only be attributed to the hard work of people from opposite sides of the aisle who had the best interest of ALL Americans at heart. They were men and women and who were more than willing to sit down with their political opponents and a solve a problem. They listened to each other. They respected each other. Men and women who had different ideas on how to protect America’s workers and not burden America’s commerce in the process reached a compromise to achieve that goal. The Preamble to the Act is a masterpiece.
One would think that 55 years later Congress would be better prepared to deal with complex issues wrapped in different political ideologies but that is clearly not the case. Nor, I am afraid, will it be in the near future.
Why?
For a lot of reasons that make no sense. Among those reasons is a complete lack of reason on the part of the democrats. It is impossible to attribute reason to a group of people who believe that men and boys can be made into women and girls. It is equally impossible to work with people who insist that we all accept their aberrant notion of gender and sexuality being a continuum.
While the democrats insistence that their version of human sexuality be adopted is a major reason for the division among us it is not the only reason. The democrats understand the problems we face as a nation as well as any republican, however, they refuse reasonable comprise. Because of their stubborn refusal to compromise we are forced to work without them. So be it.
We will continue to move forward toward a shared vision of a Great America and to ask ourselves “What can we do for our country?” And they, the democrats, will continue to sit on their hands, refuse to show up, name call, and sit in unreasonable, judgement and disparagement of those with whom they disagree in order to just disagree.
We must continue to be the party of prosperity and peace brought by God. As for the democrats they still have a choice. They can continue on their current path of nihilism or they can heal themselves and join us in our quest for greatness under God:
13You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
15If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 2and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Gal 5:13-23

Trump missed an opportunity. He referred to "No taxes on tips", which republicans applauded while every democrat sat silent. It would have been neat if Trump has said, "Everyone here who supports legislation to eliminate taxes on tips, please signify by applauding." I can see it my mind's eye.
