I suppose that the first question we need to address is this: What is a culture war?
Good question. Here’s one answer from Wikipedia which at this moment is as good as any other source:
”A culture war is a cultural conflict between social groups and the struggle for dominance of their values, beliefs, and practices. It commonly refers to topics on which there is general societal disagreement and polarization in societal values.
Its contemporary use refers to a social phenomenon in which multiple social groups, holding distinct values and ideologies, attempt to steer public policy in opposition to each other. Thus a culture war now describes "hot button" or "polarizing" social issues in politics. A culture war is defined as "the phenomenon in which multiple groups of people, who hold entrenched values and ideologies, attempt to contentiously steer public policy." Culture wars often delve around wedge issues, often based on values, morality, and lifestyle which often lead to political cleavage.”
It is hard to argue that Americans are at peace with one another on a host of “…wedge issues.” And no where is that more evident than the struggle against the invasive insertion of LGBTQ+ ideology into every aspect of our lives. As I have written endlessly, the forces aligned against those of us who believe that there are but two genders, that God did not get things wrong, and that children are incapable of entering into the debate are legion.
Corporate America is leading the charge for the LGBTQ+ activists and ideologues. Target, Anheuser-Busch, General Motors, Disney, MLB, the NBA, Mattel, PetSmart, and Lego are only a very small number of those businesses that are directly marketing LGBTQ+ ideology — particularly transgenderism — to children.
How do we fight against corporate America? The business of business is business. What is business? Again from Wikipedia: Business is the practice of making one's living or making money by producing or buying and selling products (such as goods and services). It is also "any activity or enterprise entered into for profit."
Our issue is that businesses like Disney and Target are using their economic might to push transgender ideology on all of us whether we agree with it morally or not. But that has not come without loss to some of those businesses. Target has lost almost 20% of it capitalized value, the Bud Light brand is all but dead, and Disney is struggling to regain stature and profit all in the face of what appears to be organic boycotts of those companies. But are such boycotts sustainable? Probably not.
So what do we do? How do we fight back against a nation with a Gross Domestic Product of somewhere in the area of $23 T? How do we get all of those businesses that are committed to pushing transgender ideology into our homes to stop.
We can’t out spend them but what we can do is stop feeding them.
What if as Allen Ginsberg mused ”… someone gave a war and nobody came?”
What if instead of random boycotts of the business of the day we just dropped out the economy for two days. What if rather than boycotting individual members of corporate America we simply went on strike for two days against all of them? Two days of no interaction with the economy
What if for just two days we stayed out of their stores, their gas stations, their restaurants, their stadiums and we ignored their on-line presence as well?
What if for just two days we lunched a General Economic Strike?
Not just Target and Disney and Anheuser-Busch, and Nike but all of them. All at once.
Here is my modest proposal:
For two days, July 3rd and July 4th we don’t buy one single thing from anyone, anywhere.
Any thing that you need on the 3rd or the 4th can be purchased on the 2nd or 5th.
Can we have an impact? I have no idea because it all depends on how many people choose to do nothing to support the economy for two days.
“It has been said that for evil men to accomplish their purpose it is only necessary that good men should do nothing.” Reverend Charles Frederic Aked
But maybe Aked was wrong. Maybe its time to do nothing.

This is the most delusional Larry idea ever. That his blog that is read by tens of people will cause a massive general strike and make companies think, "oh wait we got to start hating those gays". #Larry'sLunacies.
I agree with the sentiment
And a July 4 date has the advantage that it can easily be remembered
But these assholes get subscription payments every month ( Microsoft, ATT, Apple) etc etc
And July 4 is a day where actual billing and collection for services is going to be minimized anyway by the nature of a national holiday.People have to buy fuel for transportation if they're away from home for that holiday.
... a myriad of things
I sense and feel the frustration.
A sustained, permanent refusal to buy products and services from these people is the only thing that will work. It is just that they are so many, and all so bad. How do I remove my funds and deposits from Bank of America?the outfit that happily and on its own volition gave personal financial information on everyone to the FBI for nefarious political purposes? put it in JP Morgan affiliates? they are even worse thugs. All of these banks are interconnected, all evil doers.
