"And in America, freedom is not to be given. It is not to be bestowed. It is ours by right. And that, of course, includes the freedom to make decisions about one's own body—not the government telling people what to do." - VP Harris
Where in the constitution does it say this? That's right, nowhere.
If a woman decides to have a leg cut off, will a doctor do it? Would the hospital allow it? Would they be subject to a lawsuit? Yes, they would. If her husband sued to stop the amputation, would courts hear him? Almost certainly, yes. Would the court order a psychological evaluation. Almost certainly.
An abortion ends a human life. Is that fetus a person? Does it have rights? Opinions are all over the place. What about the husband's opinion? Courts would hear him if his wife wanted her leg cut off, but they won't hear him if his wife wants to kill their baby. That's a violation of the husband's rights.
And I have to assume that the 'right' to an abortion includes the requirement that taxpayers pay for it.
And there are obvious counter arguments. If a woman can decide what she wants concerning her body, then so can everyone. Period. That means no one has to get a vaccine. That means no one has to wear a mask.
A child's birth is significant to parents and family. But it is insignificant to the baby. There is no important difference between a baby a day before it is born and the day after. It is absurd to suggest that it suddenly became a person just by passing through the birth canal. It was a human person the day before their birthday. OK, well what about TWO days before? THREE days before? When did it change from biomass to a baby? I'm not absolutely opposed to all abortions, but I insist on an intelligent conversation between all interested parties. That includes fathers. Making stupid declarations that a woman has right to choose, without regard to the baby or the father is a brainless conclusion that only a progressive is mindless enough to support.
I mostly agree with her. Our freedoms are indeed bestowed by our creator but then end at the point where they infringe on another’s rights. I don’t think she realizes that a woman’s body and bodily autonomy ends where a child’s body begins.
Says the side chick who has no children of her own and was all in favor of forcing Americans to take the jab or else.
And also, abortion, or as sane people call it MURDER of an innocent, is NOT healthcare.

Oh, I think she knows; they ALL KNOW, they just choose to ignore the fact that a child in utero is a human being!
