No Harm. No foul. But Are They Good Enough For The Oval Office?

“Overall, there was no harm done to the Harris-Walz campaign during the interview and a little news was broken. As a communications veteran, that’s a win from my perspective. “

THAT is the best that Symone D. Sanders-Townsend (MSNBC) had to say about the much anticipated interview with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz — “Overall, there was no harm done….”

At ABC they at least made an attempt to present some level of analysis of what Harris had to say on the issues of fracking and economy and why her positions have clearly changed from five years ago when she was an abysmal failure as a candidate seeking the nomination from the Democrat Party. Even the “experts” that ABC brought in failed to give a clear explanation of what she was saying and why she has seemingly changed all of her positions. In short their analysis resolved to: ‘That was then and this now.’

CBS unlike the other networks, let Kamala’s own words speak for her; something that we all recognize is fraught with peril if your running her campaign or hoping that it will sway the unaligned voter to your camp; unless you’re a democrat voting strictly for you jersey.

“Bash asked Harris what her policy positions are now versus what they were when she was running for president in the 2020 campaign, specifically on matters like immigration and energy, and how voters can feel confident in her positions moving forward.” wrote Kathryn Watson, CBS.

And here is Kamala’s answer: “I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is, my values have not changed."

Asked about policy Harris responds with “…my values have not changed.” Values while possibly informing one’s policy positions, are not policy. This was a meaningless answer meant to change the subject.

As for Tim Walz — eye rolls are not enough. The man is a serial liar who lies to cover up his lies. He lied about his rank and his service record. With respect to his rank he claimed to have “misspoken”. With regard to his lie about serving in a combat zone — which he scrupulously avoided by leaving the National Guard — he contended that he has an issue with “grammar”. Grammar will never explain why one’s facts are wrong.

In my last piece I called Tim Walz a miscreant. If you think that I’m being harsh and politically biased let’s see what his brother, Jeff, has to say about him. In response to a suggestion from some one on X that he:

“Help MAGA….. Get on stage with President Trump and endorse him...; Help save this country.... “

Jeff Walz wrote:

“I’ve thought hard about doing something like that! I’m torn between that and just keeping my family out of it. The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”

And just to make sure that we all understand that Jeff Walz is not just blowing smoke he put his money where his mouth is. Yes, Tim Walz brother, Jeff, has contributed to the Trump campaign.

Nothing ever makes things better for this pair. Nothing.

AND IF they can’t make their own lives better how on Earth will they make ours better?

I often ask myself what makes a good “king”? “King”, of course, being a euphemism for ruler, leader, president. I often refer people to the book of Kings which describes those kings who were good rulers and those who were not good rulers. At the moment this is the best explanation that I can find that answers my question: What makes a good king?

“Throughout Scripture we see God referred to as our king, and in our worship we proclaim him to be our king. There is no doubt that he himself is the perfect example of what a king should be: he is kind, compassionate, powerful, just, honest and always true.”  

Look closely at Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and ask yourselves this question:
Are they kind? Compassionate? Just? Honest? And always true?
