Buddy Ryan was an extraordinary defensive and head coach who had a record of success that few can match. Dylan Mulvaney graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and the Performing Arts and is famous for documenting his “transition” to the person enshrined on a can of Bud Light. To my knowledge it is the first time that Annheuser-Busch put the image of a person on one of their beer cans.
And here is the person responsible for that decision;
As I noted here, Heinerscheid’s view that touting transgenderism would sell beer cost Anheuser-Busch $5,000,000,000 in less than two weeks. Heinerscheid is now on a leave of absence. Bud Light as a brand has yet to recover and it is possible that it never will. The purpose of a marketing campaign is make some thing sell. Heinerscheid and Mulvaney managed to position Bud Light not as the beer that every construction worker or office manager or guy cutting his grass in August grab at the end of day but rather as the Beer of a thousand jokes.
While Mulvaney may have “influenced” 10.8 M TikTok viewers to follow him — earning a cool $1.5M over about two years, millions more were influenced to run from the brand.
Disney has made the same miscalculation as Heinershcied. Bob Iger, Disney CEO was returned to Disney to replace the much maligned Bob Chapek who had the misfortune of deciding to stay out of Florida politics and focus on his job to run the Disney empire. It was a decision that cost him the enmity of his LGBTQ+ employees and led to him deciding to take on Governor Ron DeSantis and the state of Florida by vocally opposing what the LBGTQ community falsely called “Don’t Say Gay” legislation that was before the Florida legislature. Between Chapek’s championing transgenderism and other LGBTQ+ issues and Iger appearing to continue Disney’s feud with Governor DeSantis Disney stock plummeted losing 44% of its value in just one year.
Under Iger Disney released the LGBTQ+ friendly sequel to the popular family film, Avatar. In the new Avatar a main character portrays a homosexual young boy. Avatar: The Way of Water lost $600,000,000.
This was a lesson clearly not learned by Iger who recently announced: Disneyland After Dark Pride Night.
There is not one single thing that is family friendly about “Pride Night” unless, of course, your family consists of two mommies or two daddies.
As I have ceaselessly written and said — I don’t care what “consenting adults do”. After all, they are adults and they should have learned by the time that they attained adulthood that there is a difference between right and wrong. So, no, I don’t care what consenting adults do — unless what they chose to do and promote is dangerous to the bodies and souls of children.
The only way that Disney and other corporations will get the message is if it is delivered to their accounting sheets.
The main stream media is quick to seize on what happened to both Disney and Anheuser-Busch as the result of organized boycotts. But they weren’t organized. In both cases the public response to their corporate decisions was purely organic — people just stopped buying what those corporations were selling.
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew 18:6
